Jal-Jangal-Jameen USA is an anti-capitalist, anti-caste, South Asian organization supporting people’s struggles in India. We work towards building international solidarity from right here, in the belly of the beast of U.S. imperialism. Our name comes from the slogan raised by Komaram Bheem, a Gond Adivasi, during the 1930s. Bheem led a guerrilla revolt of Gonds against the Nizam (king) of Hyderabad kingdom and his abuses against Adivasi and caste-oppressed people. The slogan literally means Water-Forest-Land.

We believe that the Indian State is a Hindutva Fascist project that only serves corporate greed. Our mission is to expose the crimes of the Indian State and other reactionaries, while spreading awareness of these crimes in in the U.S. Ultimately, the struggles of the oppressed in every country are intrinsically linked to the system of imperialism which operates on a global scale. We cannot isolate ourselves and only focus on the struggles within, but must promote and support the struggles abroad too.

It is in the interest of all working Americans, whether they are South Asian or not, to support the struggles of people in India. India is itself subject to U.S. imperialism, and there are numerous connections between the ruling classes of both countries. Several American politicians have themselves received immense funding from the Hintutva Fascist RSS family of organizations, and companies owned by Indian billionaires are being actively contracted to build polluting industry on U.S. soil.
